Starting from the garden of Villa Grabau, we will walk through the Italian garden and the English garden, highlighting the rare botanical species present in the estate. We will visit the famous Limonaia, the Theatre garden and other places of interest. We will also visit the villa itself with its unique frescoes, antique furniture and collection of classical marble statues. The tour takes approximately one hour 15 minutes.
Afterwards, we will visit Villa Reale di Marlia (a 10 minute walk) with its magnificent gardens and the newly re-opened ground floor of the main villa. Home in the 19th century to Napoleon’s sister and Duchess of Lucca Elisa Bonaparte Baciocchi, Villa Reale di Marlia is considered to be one of the most important historical properties in Italy. The 16-hectare estate includes numerous refined gardens and botanic rarities, as well as majestic buildings created over centuries.
